Nanotechnology is science, engineering, and technology conducted at the nanoscale, which is about 1 to 100 nanometers, and is becoming popular in Costa Rica.
The concept of nanotechnology began with a talk entitled “There’s Plenty of Room at the Bottom” by physicist Richard Feynman on December 29, 1959. Mr. Feynman described a process in which scientists could manipulate and control individual atoms and molecules.
In our current time, 50-plus years later, scientists and engineers are finding a wide variety of ways to use nanotechnology in medicine, agriculture, oil and gas, construction, biotechnology, and more.
Costa Rica has welcomed a multinational firm, NOXTAK, that specializes in nanotechnology to control and mitigate electromagnetic pollution from any source to start operations in the country.
NOXTAK develops solutions in Costa Rica to control electromagnetic pollution from electronic devices. The company will also offer various services for technical and environmental impact assessment.

We congratulate them on the inauguration of their operations in this country and hope to continue growing together and learning to benefit many people through innovation.”
